Baicells Stellar227: Indoor 5G NR Base Stations for Bands n41, n48, and n78
The Baicells Stellar227 is a compact indoor 5G NR base station designed for sub-6 GHz private and enterprise networks. Supporting standalone (SA) deployments across Bands n41, n48 (CBRS), and n78, the Stellar227 is powered by a Qualcomm 5G SoC and offers up to 100 MHz bandwidth with 2x2 MIMO. With a peak downlink rate of 850 Mbps and support for up to 128 users, it is ideal for high-capacity indoor coverage.
It includes support for an embedded 5G core (HaloB), integrated omni antennas, and flexible power options (PoE++ or 12VDC). The Stellar227 is easy to install in ceiling, wall, or T-bar mount configurations, and supports full TR-069 management and IPsec-secured backhaul.
Deployment Requirements
To deploy the Baicells Stellar227, you’ll need:
- SAS registration: Required for Band n48 (CBRS). Not needed for Bands n41 or n78.
- IP backhaul: Supported via RJ45 Ethernet or 1G/10G SFP interface with IPsec encryption.
- 5GC (core network): Embedded 5G core (HaloB) supported or external SA core integration.
- Power and mounting: Supports 12VDC or PoE++ input. Mounts to ceiling, wall, or T-bar.
- GPS synchronization: Required. External GPS antenna with SMA connector.
- Environmental considerations: Designed for indoor use. Operates from –5°C to 45°C. Max power draw: 30W.
Setting up a private network can get involved — from hardware selection and integration, to network design, software configuration, and user device onboarding. Our team of experts can help deliver a complete solution, whether you’re looking for just the parts or a full turnkey deployment. Reach out here to get started.
