Baicells Nova846: Outdoor 8x5W Triple-Carrier LTE TDD Base Station for Bands 41 and 48
The Baicells Nova846 is a flagship outdoor LTE TDD base station built for high-capacity private and public network deployments in Bands 41 and 48. With support for dual-carrier (DC), carrier aggregation (CA), and triple-carrier (TC)* operation, it enables scalable sector coverage and peak downlink rates up to 580 Mbps using 4x4 MIMO. Each carrier supports 512 active users, with 2x or 3x carrier operation supported depending on configuration.
The Nova846 delivers 8x5W output power and supports either 2x 4T4R or 3x 2T2R external antenna configurations. It includes Baicells' embedded HaloB EPC and can be deployed with public or private IP backhaul. Integrated GPS sync, RET support, and hardened IP66 weatherproofing make it ideal for enterprise and carrier-grade outdoor applications.
Deployment Requirements
To deploy the Baicells Nova846, you’ll need:
- SAS registration: Required for CBRS Band 48 operation. Band 41 does not require SAS.
- IP backhaul: RJ45 or optical SFP port with IPsec encryption support. Public and private IP backhaul supported.
- EPC or core network: Compatible with Baicells HaloB EPC or external EPCs.
- Power and mounting: Requires 48VDC input. Optional AC adapter available. Includes lightning protection. Mounts to pole or wall.
- External antennas: Required. Supports N-type external antennas in 2x4T4R or 3x2T2R configurations.
- GPS synchronization: External GPS antenna required (N-type). GPS-based sync only.
- Environmental considerations: IP66-rated. Operating range –40°C to 55°C. Max power draw 300W.
Setting up a private network can get involved — from hardware selection and integration, to network design, software configuration, and user device onboarding. Our team of experts can help deliver a complete solution, whether you’re looking for just the parts or a full turnkey deployment. Reach out here to get started.
