The Baicells Nova452 is a high-power, dual-carrier LTE TDD base station designed for demanding outdoor deployments. It supports both Carrier Aggregation (CA) and Dual Carrier (DC) operation, with up to 2x20 MHz LTE bandwidth and future software upgradeability to 100 MHz for 5G NR. With 4x40W output power, 4T4R external antenna support, and 4x4 MIMO, the Nova452 delivers exceptional throughput and coverage — including up to 580 Mbps downlink in CA mode (planned future release).

Built to support high-capacity private networks, each carrier supports up to 512 concurrent users. The Nova452 is compatible with Baicells’ embedded HaloB EPC and supports TR-069, IPsec, SON features, and RET (AISG 2.0). It includes lightning protection and is IP66-rated for harsh environments.

Deployment Requirements

To deploy the Baicells Nova452, you’ll need:

  • SAS registration: Required for Band 48 (CBRS) operation. Not required for Bands 40 or 41.
  • IP backhaul: IPsec-protected connection over dual optical SFP ports. Supports RRU mode (future 5G upgradeable).
  • EPC or core network: Compatible with Baicells HaloB EPC or external EPCs.
  • Power and mounting: Requires -48VDC input. Optional AC adapter available. Includes lightning protection. Mounts on pole or wall.
  • External antennas: Required. Supports external 4T4R high-gain antennas with mini-DIN connectors.
  • GPS synchronization: External GPS antenna required (N-Type connector). RET-compatible.
  • Environmental considerations: IP66-rated for rugged outdoor deployment. Max power draw 480W. Operating range: –40°C to 55°C.
