Baicells Neutrino430: Indoor and Outdoor Dual-Carrier LTE TDD Base Stations for CBRS Band 48

The Baicells Neutrino430 series includes two compact LTE TDD base stations designed for CBRS Band 48: the Neutrino430i, optimized for indoor deployments, and the Neutrino430e, a ruggedized outdoor variant with external antennas. Both models support Carrier Aggregation (CA) and Dual Carrier (DC) operation across up to 2x20 MHz of bandwidth, enabling downlink speeds up to 290 Mbps.

Each carrier supports 128 concurrent users (256 total in DC mode). The Neutrino430i includes integrated 3 dBi omni antennas and built-in GPS, while the Neutrino430e uses N-type connectors for external 4-port or 2x2-port antenna configurations. Both units support Baicells’ embedded HaloB EPC or external core networks and can be installed quickly for indoor or outdoor coverage.

Deployment Requirements

To deploy the Neutrino430i or Neutrino430e, you’ll need:

  • SAS registration: Required for CBRS Band 48 operation. Proxy and direct SAS support are included.
  • IP backhaul: IPsec-encrypted backhaul supported via RJ45 Ethernet port. The 430i includes an additional SFP port.
  • EPC or core network: Compatible with Baicells HaloB EPC or third-party EPCs.
  • Power:
    • Neutrino430i: Supports PoE+ (802.3at) or 12V DC. 
    • Neutrino430e: Requires PoE++ (802.3bt). 
  • Mounting:
    • Neutrino430i: Ceiling or wall mount.
    • Neutrino430e: Pole or wall mounting with outdoor-rated power and surge protection.
  • GPS synchronization:
    • 430i: External GPS antenna (SMA port).
    • 430e: Internal GPS with built-in support.
  • Antennas:
    • 430i: 3 dBi internal omni antennas.
    • 430e: Requires external 4-port or 2x2-port directional antennas (not included).
  • Environmental considerations:
    • Neutrino430i: For indoor use (–5°C to 45°C, IP20)
    • Neutrino430e: IP65-rated for outdoor use (–40°C to 55°C)
