Celona AP 21: Outdoor 5G Access Point for Global Sub-6 GHz Bands

The Celona AP 21 is a ruggedized outdoor 5G NR access point designed for enterprise and industrial private network deployments. With support for a wide range of global sub-6 GHz bands from 3.3 to 4.9 GHz, it’s built for high-performance connectivity in challenging outdoor and semi-industrial environments including shipping ports, oil refineries, and large campus installations.

The AP 21 delivers up to 1 Gbps of aggregate throughput with 2x2 MIMO and up to 100 MHz bandwidth. It supports up to 128 concurrent 5G devices and offers one-way latency under 10ms. With a maximum transmit power of 37 dBm per port (Band n48), the AP 21 enables extended range coverage using external directional or omnidirectional antennas. The unit is IP66-rated, C1D2 certified for hazardous locations, and supports both fiber and copper backhaul. Celona’s cloud-based Orchestrator platform provides centralized management, while the integrated Celona Edge handles core network functionality.

Deployment Requirements

To deploy the Celona AP 21, you’ll need:

• SAS registration: Required for CBRS Band n48. Registration is managed via Celona Orchestrator.
• IP backhaul: Fiber or Ethernet backhaul supported via SFP+ or RJ-45 interface.
• EPC or core network: Provided through Celona Edge software as part of the integrated 5G LAN solution.
• Power and mounting: ±48V DC input required. Power adapter and surge protector included. Site must provide wall or pole mount and AC power source.
• External antennas: Required. Celona offers compatible omnidirectional and sector antennas, sold separately.
• GPS antenna for synchronization: Included in the kit. Required for timing and synchronization.
• Configuration or management access: Managed centrally via Celona Orchestrator. Credentials provided through provisioning.
