Baicells Aurora243: Outdoor 5G NR Base Station for Bands n41, n48, n77, n78, and n79
The Baicells Aurora243 is an integrated outdoor 5G NR (New Radio) base station designed for sub-6 GHz mid-band deployments across Bands n41, n48 (CBRS), n77, n78, and n79. Engineered for performance, the Aurora243 supports up to 100 MHz channel bandwidth, 2x2 MIMO, and downlink rates up to 850 Mbps with UL rates as high as 660 Mbps.
Its flexible architecture supports standalone (SA) mode with optional embedded 5G core (HaloB) and both integrated or external antenna options. Models are available with up to 2x10W power output (Band n48) or 2x3W (n77/n78), and can be powered by AC or DC input. The Aurora243 is ideal for enterprises, operators, and private networks needing cost-effective 5G coverage in compact form factors.
Deployment Requirements
To deploy the Baicells Aurora243, you’ll need:
- SAS registration: Required for n48 (CBRS) operation in the U.S. Not applicable for other bands.
- IP backhaul: Supported via SFP fiber or RJ45 Ethernet port with full IPsec encryption.
- 5GC (5G core): Optional embedded HaloB 5GC included or connect to external core.
- Power and mounting: AC (90–264V) or DC (–48V) input supported. Pole or wall mounting included.
- Antennas:
- Integrated 2T2R high-gain antenna included on most models.
- External N-type antenna ports available on external-antenna models.
- GPS synchronization: Required. External GPS antenna included (N-type).
- Environmental considerations: IP65-rated. Operates from –30°C to 55°C. Max power consumption: 150W.
Setting up a private network can get involved — from hardware selection and integration, to network design, software configuration, and user device onboarding. Our team of experts can help deliver a complete solution, whether you’re looking for just the parts or a full turnkey deployment. Reach out here to get started.
