Galtronics PEAR S5490i Directional, Multi-Band Panel Antenna

The Galtronics PEAR S5490i panel antenna is a directional multi-band antenna. Directional antennas allow optimum coverage to targeted areas.

The antenna is suitable for indoor or outdoor use in applications such as passive Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). It operates in the 698-960 MHz and 1710-2700 MHz frequency bands and it offers up to 6-7dB of gain.

It will operate in temperatures from -40° to 158°F (-40° to +70°C).

The PEAR S5490i is tested and approved for use in plenum space.

The S5490i is a low-PIM antenna. PIM, or passive intermodulation, is form of distortion that occurs in devices like antennas as a result of nonlinearities in the system. It can be caused by dissimilar materials, design flaws, or corrosion by weather or age. PIM can cause significant disruption to system performance. The S5490i has been designed with all these factors in mind to minimise PIM.

Installation

The antenna comes with a mounting plate to attach to a wall. After affixing the mounting plate to the wall, mount the antenna onto the mounting plate by sliding it into the slots and securing it with the provided fasteners.

There is an optional swivel mounting bracket available if you need to focus the antenna in a particular direction.
