CEL-FI QUATRA 4000 Signal Booster System

The CEL-FI QUATRA 4000 is a powerful active DAS system built to deliver reliable, multi-operator cellular coverage for the middleprise sector. Designed for fast deployment and high performance, the QUATRA 4000 provides scalable in-building connectivity across large commercial and industrial spaces.

By combining the best of active DAS and smart signal booster technologies, the QUATRA 4000 ensures businesses can support increasing data and communication demands. It delivers high-quality voice, text, and data services across up to four bands from four carriers and offers a cost-efficient installation model using Ethernet cabling and Power over Ethernet (PoE).

Features

  • Multi-Operator Coverage: Provides reliable cellular connectivity for AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and other carriers, ensuring voice, text, and data services across all supported networks.

  • Fast Installation: The system can be installed, commissioned, and activated within days, thanks to its Cat 5e/6 cable architecture, offering faster deployment compared to other DAS systems.

  • Multi-Mode Flexibility: Accepts donor signal from off-air antennas or small cells, enabling flexible system design and integration with carrier networks.

  • Network Safe: Carrier-approved with no noise guarantee, ensuring your system operates smoothly without interfering with existing cellular networks.

  • Installer-Friendly Enhancements: Includes N-type connectors, built-in SIM slot for the internal modem, and simplified antenna inputs for easier deployments.
  • Remote Monitoring and Management: View real-time system performance and manage network configurations via the Nextivity WAVE Portal for efficient monitoring and maintenance.
  • Powered by IntelliBoost®: The Nextivity IntelliBoost® chip uses digital signal processing to enhance cellular performance, providing industry-leading coverage at the lowest cost per square foot. IntelliBoost ensures that CEL-FI solutions are network-safe and approved for use globally by over 200 mobile network operators.

There are two versions of the QUATRA 4000 available. The regular QUATRA 4000 offers up to 75,000 sq ft of coverage, but does not support Band 30 or Band 41 coverage.

WAVE Portal

The Cel-Fi WAVE Portal provides cloud-based remote management for QUATRA systems. Administrators can monitor performance, configure devices, set alerts, and apply updates from any desktop or mobile device.

Features of the platform include:

  • Carrier-grade security for mobile and desktop access.
  • Asset management, reporting, and data modeling.
  • Real-time alerts and alarms.
  • API integration for enterprise workflows.

Significant Improvements To The QUATRA 4000

Four carriers are now supported

The QUATRA 4000 now supports all major U.S. carriers.

Greater coverage and more downlink power

The Coverage Units (CUs) for the 4000 have increased downlink power (17 dBm), to maximise the coverage they support. While previous versions of the QUATRA system included four CUs, the QUATRA 4000 includes six, increasing coverage area by 50%.

Small cells

The QUATRA 4000 supports small cells being overlaid. This greatly increases coverage options with carriers including Verizon.

Installer-friendly changes

The QUATRA 4000 has made a number of changes to make set-up more straightforward for integrators. The unit now has N-type connectors. The internal modem has a built-in SIM card slot for connectivity if there is no ethernet connection. The Coverage Unit's single N-type connector is ideal for a passive antenna design. Coaxial inputs are now one per carrier (previous generations used one per band, which could cause signal issues where two carriers shared the same band).

System Components

The standard QUATRA 4000 system includes one Network Unit and six Coverage Units. Optional additional accessories are available.

QUATRA 4000 Network Unit

The Network Unit manages multiple donor signals from public carriers and distributes them digitally to Coverage Units over Ethernet cabling. It powers, configures, and monitors all connected Coverage Units and can be expanded with a Fiber Hub for large-scale deployments.

  • Supports up to three public carrier networks simultaneously.
  • Supports up to six Coverage Units and 75,000 square feet of coverage.
  • Expands to support additional Coverage Units with Fiber Hub.
  • Remote management and monitoring through the  Nextivity WAVE Portal.

QUATRA 4000 Coverage Unit

The Coverage Unit extends coverage inside the building by rebroadcasting donor signals from the Network Unit. Powered via PoE, Coverage Units install within days and scale seamlessly to meet enterprise-level coverage needs.

  • Delivers multi-carrier coverage throughout the facility.
  • Supports up to six Coverage Units per Network Unit.
  • Powered through Ethernet cabling from the Network Unit.

QUATRA 4000 Fiber Hub (Optional)

The Fiber Hub expands the reach and capacity of the QUATRA 4000 / 4000c / 4000i / 4000e systems. A single NU can support an additional six Coverage Units - 12 total - when paired with a Fiber Hub. With support for distances up to 2 km, it enables coverage across large buildings and multi-building campuses without sacrificing signal quality.

  • Extends donor signals over fiber up to 2 km (1.24 miles).

  • Expands capacity to 12 Coverage Units per Network Unit.

  • FCC certified (SFP+ module sold separately).

QUATRA 4000 Range Extender (Optional)

The Range Extender (QRE) increases the maximum supported distance between the Network Unit and the Coverage Unit. As a Power over Ethernet (PoE) device, it requires no additional power supply or external PoE injector, simplifying installation.
